The C&L Award is presented to an non-Toastmaster who represents the skills of communication and leadership that Toastmasters promotes. Our committee has selected Robert (Bob) Frederick as the recipient of the award on this occasion of our 30 Year Anniversary of Tuesday Toasters . . . . .
Bob was born in Macon, Georgia and graduated from Georgia College. Early in his career he taught high school social sciences, football and baseball. He has been a part of numerous church administrative boards and finance commmittees. Bob has been active in Sertoma, Kiwanas and Rotary at many of the places along his career path. He has been an Executive with the Boy Scouts of America for 24 years.
Bob currently serves as the Sequoyah Council Executive. In this capacity he gives supervision to the recruitment and direction of the professional staff of the Sequoyah Council and is responsible for the council's financial stability. Bob and his staff reach out to over 21,000 youth and adults and manage a budget of more than $1.4 million.
Prior to coming to the Tri-cities, Bob was in Tupelo, Mississippi where he served as the Yocona Council Executive. He has served as Director of Development and Director of Field Services for the Andrew Jackson Council in Lexington, Kentucky.
Bob is married to Linda and they have two lovely daughters.
It is a pleasure to present this plaque to Bob recognizing him for his many achievements and contributions to the advancement of good communication and leadership skills.
